What is the Building Code we Follow?
Building code is the key to Structural design. Different countries have different building codes. How we Deliver the Project?
We receive AutoCAD files or dwg files for architectural design from our clients. Sometimes they provide PDF format for Architectural design. Using this file our building structural engineer represents structural drawings using AutoCAD software.
Along with drawing we also prepare calculations using data getting from structural design software using Excel spreadsheets. Our residential engineering services provide these documents in PDF format to our clients.
Software Used for Building Design.
Our structural engineering firm uses various Structural Design software like Etabs, and Staad Pro and for drawing presentations we use AutoCAD. Except for those depending on requirements we also use various Excel spreadsheets.
We are not fully designing a project with structural engineering software only. We also do some manual calculations for the most cost-effective and safe design and also use our practical experience for practical design.
What is the Building Load we Consider?
As per structural engineers’ practice and American code, to perform any structural design we consider Dead Load (DL) and Live Load (LL). For lateral stability, we also consider Wind Load (WL) and Earthquake Load (EQ). The amount of load is different depending on the structure type. However, we consider all the required loads for the safety of the building as per the latest building code.
What is our Service Charge?
There is no fixed service charge for structural design. Depending on the scope of work our design fee is calculated, if we get the necessary documents, they can confirm the charge.
